Genuine Phillips' Milk of Magnesia Cobalt Blue Glass Bottle

This Genuine Phillips' Milk of Magnesia glass bottle still has some Milk of Magnesia inside.  In addition, it still retains its threaded metal lid.

The embossment on the side of the bottle reads: "GENUINE PHILLIPS' MILK OF MAGNESIA," with the Chas. H. Phillips Chemical Co. monogram in the center.

Text on the bottom of the bottle: "MADE IN U.S.A.," with a sideways 'M' to the right and a sideways numeral 8 to the left.

Because this bottle has a threaded lip (the oldest ones were corked), and the color of its glass is dark blue rather than light aqua or a faint blue shade, we can ascertain that this bottle is fairly new; that is, it was most likely manufactured in the 1950s-1960s.  In addition, the older versions of this bottle often contain additional or different embossments within the Phillips logo (e.g., the text 'trademark', the patent number & year, etc).
