Here is an example of the MANY smaller medicine/ pharmaceutical bottles I have picked up that sport the embossed trademark T. C. W. CO. (or variations thereof) on the base. They are far too cute to leave behind (in my opinion), but the sheer volume we now have is becoming ridiculous.
On this particular bottle, the metal cap and original rubber stopper are still present. The embossed text on the base: T. C. W. CO. / TYPE 2 / U.S.A. / 31. And the shape is that of a cylindrical medicine bottle, or "round prescription" bottle.
T. C. W. CO. is a trademark belonging to the T. C. Wheaton Company--a glassware manufacturer most well-known for their medicine bottles. As this was found in a dump behind an old farmstead, I will assume that this was a veterinary medicine bottle. The 31 embossed on the base likely dates the bottle to the year 1931.
