Beefeater Martini Gin Clear Glass Bottle

Liquor is notoriously hard to date--some are impossible.  I've got this little bottle of Beefeater Gin that we found today narrowed down to a few decades, though.

Established in 1820, Beefeater Gin is a brand of gin bottled and distributed in the United Kingdom by the company James Burrough Ltd., located in Kennington, London.  This product is still being manufactured and sold today.

This particular bottle is a miniature of the Beefeater Very Dry Martini Gin (50 mL) series as can be seen labeled on the cap.  Because it was found on American soil, we can safely assume that this particular bottle was imported here rather than brought over by some English dude who decided to settle down in rural Kansas.

As it is an import bottle, we now know that the importer was Kobrand Corporation, a company that imported Beefeater Gin from 1946-1988.  Looking at the irregularities in the glass and the seam on the base, I would even go so far as to guess that this little bottle is much older than the import years would imply.

It should be noted that there is a tiny dot protrusion on the upper edge of the flat body portions (where the neck begins to slope up).

The base of this miniature bottle has an irregular circle seam running the perimeter, what looks to be hand-stippled stipples around the middle-outer edge, and embossments:

Top left corner - "7"
Top right corner - "K"
Lower half of base - "LIQUOR BOTTLE ENGLAND"
