Real-Kill bug killer was a division of Cook Chemical Company that was produced starting from January 23, 1975. Cook Chemical Co. distributed this insecticide from Kansas City, Missouri until 2009 when the product was cancelled.
This medium-sized amber glass bottle was found along the Kansas River without a lid/stopper/top. Two defined vertical seams run from lip to base, and the body is stippled.
On the base of the bottle:
Embossed along the the upper half - "COOK CHEMICAL CO.", followed by the "Ball" logo, and ending with "A2".
The bottom half's text: SPRAY-GRIP / PAT PEND. / 395-16. Along the very bottom, "KANSAS CITY, MO." is embossed.
I just got one of those but mine says "cook-kill" around the top. haven't found anything out about it.
ReplyDeleteMine says cook-kill also.have yet to find one
DeleteI've got one. my mother's originally. Would like to know more about it
DeleteI have found several of these…one has the top still on it… can't imagine they are worth much but nice looking bottles to display.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know value? How much value do you think original paper label would add?
ReplyDeleteWas there any value ?
DeleteHave found advertisements from Time Life Magazine, circa 1957 for Real Kill insecticides, however this article cites 1975 as the beginning of the product. Suspecting a typo in the year, should be 1957, not 1975.
ReplyDeleteThen, I simply used a matte white spray paint and coated the bottle about 3 times,
ReplyDeleteletting each layer dry in-between. ........750 ml bottles wholesale,http://rsglassbottle.com/product-detail/750ml-empty-glass-bottles/........
